„The Insisting Body“ is a lecture-performance and installation with integrated audio description. The work by Michael(a) Daoud, developed from a month-long durational performance carried out across thirty sites in Berlin marked by violence, investigates how violence continues to inhabit places through repetition, memory, and institutional structures. Through stillness, exhaustion, sound, projected documentation, and spatial interventions, the performance unfolds as a living cartography that asks what remains after violence has disappeared from view. Concept, performance, and text are by Michael(a) Daoud, with dramaturgy by Zain Saleh, lighting design by Liza Root, and spatial design by Lena Drazinou.
