An artist talk with a short tour by Annette Hauschild, held in German in the library of the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation. It marks the 35th anniversary of the German-Polish Treaty on Good Neighbourship and the special exhibition “Ostgebiete / Ziemie Zachodnie”, which brings together photographers from both countries in a visual dialogue on memory, identity, and transformation. The works of ten photographers reveal how traces of a process, marked by appropriation and farewell and still visible today, have been inscribed into landscapes, architecture, and family narratives on both sides of the Oder River. Featured artists include Karolina Gembara, Thomas Meyer, Katarzyna Mirczak, Linn Schröder, Ina Schoenenburg, Wojtek Sienkiewicz, and Heinrich Völkel.
