"AS THE STARS FALL" is a performance by Monirah Hashemi having its German premiere at TAK - Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg. The actress, director and playwright from Afghanistan explores survival, embodied memory and the struggle to reclaim the right to one's own story. Moving between an adult and a child's perspective, the performance approaches memory as something fragmented, physical and continuously present. Through storytelling, movement, ritual, repetition and sound, the audience is positioned not simply as spectators but as witnesses.
