A lecture on assistance concepts, an achievement of the disability movement that frames self-determination rather than care. Prof. Dr. Birgit Behrisch of the Katholische Hochschule für Sozialwesen Berlin discusses shifts in meaning brought by the models of simple and qualified assistance, especially in the family sphere. The talk is part of the lecture series „Inklusion unter Druck“, organised by professorships at ASH Berlin and HU Berlin together with the Berliner Netzwerk Disability Studies.
