On this day of action, the Old Palace of Charlottenburg opens its doors free of charge to all Berliners who do volunteer work. Behind the campaign are the Berlin Senate, the Berlin House of Representatives and many leisure and cultural institutions, which want to thank the city's committed citizens for their dedication. Free tickets are available on the day at the palace ticket counters against suitable proof such as a volunteer card, and no registration is needed. The free multimedia tours in the app are recommended for a tour of the palace.
