BEYOND LINES is a site-specific dance performance staged for Berlin Freedom Week. Behind the project are choreographer Kosmas Kosmopoulos and the initiative LUNA PARK e.V., which has combined professional dance production with socio-cultural practice since 2003, together with the Haus der Geschichte Foundation at the Tränenpalast. The performance deals with crossing borders: departure, waiting, fear and hope, as well as leaving behind home, language and the familiar. In the Tränenpalast, a place of farewell, control and transition, choreographic images of resistance, loss and change emerge, asking which borders people had and still have to overcome.
