Wendo is a feminist self-assertion and self-defense course that sees self-defense as more than just a physical technique. It is led by Mina, a feminist activist from Belgrade who has been practicing Wendo for over ten years and is part of various feminist and queer collectives. The workshop teaches basic strategies for self-assertion and self-defense to help participants explore their own boundaries, options for action, and resources. The focus is on strengthening abilities that often remain invisible or are suppressed under conditions of structural violence and social inequality, combining practical self-defense with an intersectional understanding of empowerment, solidarity, and collective care.
