"DAS GROSSE NEIN" is a world premiere at Theater unterm Dach about the resistance of Konrad Latte, Leo Borchard, Ruth Andreas-Friedrich and their comrades against the Nazi regime. It was written and directed by Katja Lehmann and features Daniel-František Kamen. The evening tells of hiding places, forged papers and aid organized in Berlin, and of the nighttime action in April 1945 in which the group painted a widely visible NO on walls and handed out leaflets against Hitler's policies. It speaks of fear and persecution but also of solidarity, cohesion and courage, asking where opposition begins and when and where we speak up today.
