„Das Himmler-Projekt“ is a documentary in which actor Manfred Zapatka, at a lectern, reads the transcript of a speech by Heinrich Himmler before 92 SS officers, created from the original audio recording. The secret speeches from Posen are known today because they openly speak of the murder of Jews, Soviet prisoners of war and forced labourers. Director Romuald Karmakar confines himself to a few changes of shot size and camera perspective. Film historian Tilman Schumacher introduces the screening.
