Die Heinzelmenschen are a group of volunteers from the neighbourhood who give temporary help to people who are ill or have limited abilities in their daily lives. Behind it are people aged forty to eighty who want to strengthen togetherness in their quarter. They provide or arrange support such as hospital visits, reading aloud, shopping, small household and craft tasks, or accompanying people on walks and to appointments; they do not do nursing or cleaning work. They meet every second Tuesday of the month and welcome more helping hands as well as a donation for expenses such as travel costs.
