"Die Holländerinnen" is a spoken theatre piece at DT Bühne of Deutsches Theater Berlin. Based on the novel of the same name by Dorothee Elmiger, which won the Deutscher Buchpreis in 2025, Jan Friedrich stages the story of a motley group travelling into the Central American rainforest to trace the mysterious disappearance of two young tourists and turn it into a play. One of them, a writer, weaves her experiences together with further stories about the blurred line between truth and delusion, nature and culture. The cast includes Julia Gräfner, Manuel Harder, Moritz Kienemann, Evamaria Salcher, Andri Schenardi and Carmen Steinert.
