A lecture by Dr. Elke Krasny on care and violence in the museum, part of the Talks on Curatorial Practice series. The professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna examines how curating is entangled with colonial extraction, dispossession and epistemic violence. The lecture asks what responsibility becomes possible through practices of refusal and rematriation, rather than treating care as a redemptive gesture. Admission is free and on-site participation requires no registration.
