A relaxed tour for people with dementia and their companions at the Jewish Museum Berlin. It begins with a coffee table featuring freshly baked braided yeast bread, called Challa in Hebrew and eaten for Shabbat. Afterwards, three 19th-century paintings in the exhibition room “Bilder machen Leute” are explored together, through themes such as “Chess in the Salon” with the philosopher Moses Mendelssohn and Berlin salon culture, or “Celebrating” private family gatherings and exuberant festivities. Musical interludes, objects to touch and seating accompany the visit, which takes place in cooperation with the Alzheimer Gesellschaft Berlin e.V.
