True Stories / Narratives of Absence is an exhibition by Ellen Kobe on the ground floor of Schloss Biesdorf. Her works turn historical events, political narratives and personal as well as collective memory into subtle, often unsettling spaces of image and action, and ask how history shows itself in absences, shifts and fragmented accounts. Across three rooms she presents recent pieces that move between documentation and fiction; ABEND ÜBER POTSDAM (2022) refers to Lotte Laserstein's painting of the same name from 1930.
