"THIS IS (NOT) THE END" is a dance and performance work by Elvan Tekin, produced in coproduction with Sophiensæle. In it, dance forms that have migrated across places, borders, communities and generations meet, and are connected, overlaid and transformed by Elvan Tekin and Samuel Francis Perreira into a hybrid movement vocabulary. The piece unsettles familiar notions of virtuosity, beauty, gender and social norms, asking who may look, who is looked at, and what happens when a body refuses to be fully legible. Accompanied musically by Krzysztof Bagiński and Saemi Jeong, the performers' relationships shift constantly, and the audience becomes part of this changeable dynamic.
