“Galaktische Begegnungen – Eine Reise durch die Milchstraße” is a fulldome show in the planetarium hall with live narration, taking audiences on a journey through our galaxy. It was developed by the American Museum of Natural History in cooperation with and with the support of NASA. Using state-of-the-art visualizations based on the Gaia space observatory, it shows wandering stars, comets, colorful gas and dust clouds and, for the first time, the dramatic merger of our galaxy with a smaller satellite galaxy. The event lasts 60 minutes and is recommended from age 12.
