The guest is Talal Afifi, a Sudanese film curator and producer who founded the Sudan Film Factory and the Sudan Independent Film Festival. It asks what militant film can mean today – with themes such as war, occupation, authoritarianism and the struggle over the control of images. It also explores how images can become forms of collective memory and political agency. In curatorial cooperation with the Sudan Film Factory.
