A solo exhibition of two video installations by Basma al-Sharif at soft power. The title comes from a deliberate mistranslation of a line from Nino Ferrer's hit song Le Sud (1975), turning the song's melancholy over a lost paradise into a refusal of nostalgic forgetting. The works show how integration policy and neo-colonial promises of progress act as tools of ideological assimilation that make belonging conditional. The exhibition runs from 14.11. to 19.12.2026.
