A conversation on remembering German colonial history of violence takes place at Schöneberg Museum. Abenaa Adomako and Dr. Ibou Diop discuss civic engagement within Berlin's decentralized culture of remembrance, coming to terms with German colonial history and researching Black German history. Adomako has been campaigning against racism and for making Black history visible for over 40 years. Diop curates discourse programmes and art exhibitions in Senegal and Germany and, since 2022, has been shaping concepts and places of remembrance for Berlin's colonial history.
