The film 'Leenalchi: The Birth of Tradi-Pop' portrays the South Korean band of the same name, which combines traditional Korean music with modern bass and drums. After the international breakthrough with the song 'Tiger Is Coming', which became known worldwide through a commercial by the Korea Tourism Organization, several members left the band and internal conflicts called its future into question. Band founder Jang Young-gyu, himself not traditionally trained as a musician, then searches for new paths. With a newly formed line-up, Leenalchi finally stands on the verge of entering the US market and the challenge of reasserting itself on the international stage.
