Margarita Wenzel – You Are Here Since You Left is a site-specific sound installation in the medieval vault of the Historischer Keller gallery. It was conceived by the artist Margarita Wenzel and draws its sound from barely perceptible movements – air, footsteps, resonances of the masonry – that circulate in the frequency range of the human voice without ever becoming language. The cellar works as a resonating body where listening turns into a movement of searching between inside and outside, present and memory.
