"Meeting the Buddha" is a documentary screened at the Kant Kino in Charlottenburg. Marta György-Kessler's film deals with the life and legacy of the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje. It tells how the Dane Ole Nydahl met him in Nepal in 1969, an encounter that radically changed his life. Together with his wife Hannah, he spread Tibetan Buddhism in the West and founded hundreds of meditation centers from Mexico City to Vladivostok.
