A workshop on discrimination-critical media literacy at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek. Journalist Melina Borčak shows how media use language, images and narratives, and the role these play in reinforcing or reducing racism and discrimination. Using historical and current headlines from the Berlin press archive, participants analyse ways of representation and discover patterns, continuities and changes. The workshop is held in German, no prior knowledge is needed, and registration is required.
