The event is a live show by journalist, host and author Miriam Davoudvandi, presented by 190a and organized by Landstreicher Konzerte GmbH. At its center is her book "Das können wir uns nicht leisten" and her story of growing up poor in Germany – Victory shoes instead of Nikes, the shame of not wanting to invite friends home, and social advancement. The show combines texts, personal stories, humor and pop-cultural analysis, with plenty of rap, political context and Millennial and 2000s nostalgia, plus surprise guests at some stops. It is not a classic reading: together with the audience she looks back at formative pop moments and old "Assi-TV" formats, asking how all of it shaped us personally, politically and culturally.
