"Olaf Metzel: Mondrian Ambiente" is an exhibition at the Wentrup gallery in Berlin. The artist Olaf Metzel presents his fifth solo exhibition with the gallery. It deals with modern architecture and design, in which Metzel subjects the clarity of modernist form to irregularity, fragmentation and ambiguity. Figures such as Piet Mondrian, Charlotte Perriand and Gerrit Rietveld are invoked, as is the relationship between art and function.
