"On Justice #11: Erinnerung, Verantwortung, Gerechtigkeit: Von den Nürnberger Prozessen nach Den Haag" is a panel discussion at HAU Hebbel am Ufer in Kreuzberg. It is part of the "On Justice" series, run by HAU in cooperation with the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR). Taking Philippe Sands' book "Die Verschwundenen von Londres 38" as a starting point, the jurist Sands, former German Minister of Justice Herta Däubler-Gmelin and human rights lawyer Wolfgang Kaleck, moderated by Siri Keil, discuss literature and law, the possibilities and limits of international criminal law, and memory and testimony – 80 years after the Nuremberg trials. The talk also addresses how civil society actors can defend the international legal order against authoritarian governments.
