A discussion event about TikTok, Instagram and podcasts as new spaces for voices often unheard in traditional media. People whose families fled the former Yugoslavia share memories of war, flight and expulsion and speak of consequences that continue across generations. At the same time, disinformation and nationalist narratives spread on social media – the question is when they become places of solidarity and where they turn into danger. Speakers are Fata Hasanović, Krsto Lazarević and Eva Tamara Asboth, moderated by Simone Gaul, with a welcome by Roland Borchers.
