The exhibition „MANIFESTATIONS IN THE LIGHT“ presents works by Rachel Garrard in the Nave of König Galerie, a deconsecrated Brutalist church. The artist, born 1984, lives and works in New York and Mexico and works with natural pigments such as quartz, ash and rock powder. The title refers to the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, translated as „Coming Forth by Day“. The exhibition combines geometric painting, a grid of quartz powder with found objects from Berlin, and a mica-covered work activated by light.
