The lecture series "Räume der Krise. Räume der Kunst" examines the interplay between art and crises in history and the present. Invited speakers explore from various disciplinary and practical perspectives how political, ecological, economic and social crises merge into a so-called "polycrisis". The event also asks how these crisis conditions affect art and culture, and what resistant potential art may hold in times of crisis. It is jointly organised by the Department of Art and Art Theory and the KHI at the University of Cologne, supported by the Beatrix Lichten Stiftung and in cooperation with Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung NRW; registration by e-mail is requested.
