"Salz und Wasser" is a German documentary from 2025, screened in the cinema hall of the Zeiss-Großplanetarium. It follows the icebreaker "Polarstern" on its voyage through the ice of East Antarctica, where scientists carry out their research. It is directed by Ines Reinisch, whose personal perspective shows what an expedition truly means. The film also addresses the consequences of global warming for the Antarctic Circumpolar Current and sea level.
