A showcase by the Forum at INTERFILM 42 devoted to the land-based filmmaking practice of Anishinaabe filmmaker Darlene Naponse. Using earlier works such as $4 INDIAN, WAITING FOR THE ICE TO MELT and CYCLIC ROOTS as well as excerpts from AKI, it traces more than two decades of Indigenous filmmaking. It asks how the land shapes the conception, production and presentation of filmmaking and what perspectives this opens up in the face of climate change. The event is moderated by Jason Ryle.
