„Stadt als Beute – Kritik der Stadt im Theater“ is a talk about the question of who owns the city and how housing can be withdrawn from the profit-driven market. It is prompted among other things by evictions in Spain that sparked a protest wave with hundreds of thousands on the streets and forced new elections. The urban sociologist Andrej Holm speaks together with representatives of Kotti & Co and Deutsche Wohnen & Co. enteignen about gentrification, displacement and socialization. The event is held by the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz at the Prater, in solidarity with protesters across Europe.
