"Sterntaler" is a puppet theatre piece based on the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm. It is performed by Ute Kahmann of Figurentheater Ute Kahmann. In the fairytale setting of an old tree, the orphan Marie sings with an old circus musician, argues with a cheeky squirrel and rides off on Hansi's motorbike. The girl gives away her thoughts, warmth, bread and clothing until she has nothing left.
