“Stimprovisation” is a workshop on vocal improvisation, a body-based creative practice of sensory exploration and spontaneous composition. It is led by Dr. Aby Watson from Scotland: stimming refers to movements, behaviours or vocalisations for self-regulation that can be calming or energising, and is especially important for the wellbeing of neurodivergent people who process sensory input differently. Through exercises with movement, objects and voice, participants follow their sensory curiosity and engage with rhythm and repetition. The workshop is open to everyone, whether neurodivergent or not, and requires no prior experience – just a willingness to play and discover new things.
