Street Food Spezial: Taiwan brings the atmosphere of Taipei's night markets to Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg. The event is part of Freedom Week Berlin and is hosted together with the Taipeh Representative Office in Germany. At its centre is Taiwanese street food – from fluffy Gua Bao to crispy Taiwanese Fried Chicken and iced lychee tea. The food is presented as an expression of diversity, freedom and the resilience of a living democracy, grown from indigenous, mainland Chinese, Japanese and European influences.
