"The Value of Diversity" is an event with Lorraine Daston and David B. Oppenheimer, moderated by Ewa Atanassow. Drawing on their new books, the two trace the lineage of the value of diversity in natural history, court cases and debates over academic freedom. In a friendly exchange that welcomes disagreement, they ask where the case for diversity is strongest and where it may clash with other values. It takes place at Bard College in Berlin.
