This themed tour of the German Historical Museum commemorates the November pogroms of 1938. It asks about the relationship between violence and racism as well as colonial and National Socialist practices of rule, disenfranchisement and persecution. Using selected exhibits – from racial-theory charts and everyday objects of exclusion to photographs and testimonies of the pogrom night itself – it leads visitors together through the exhibition rooms.
