Visiting Art/ist 2026: Kaarina-Sirkku Kurz is a year-long exhibition of photographic artworks by the German-Finnish artist Kaarina-Sirkku Kurz, shown at the Finnland-Institut under the title »Reaching, Grasping, Wondering«. It presents works from 2023 to 2025, ranging from classic photographs to photography-based pieces in which materiality takes centre stage. The exhibition comes out of the Finnland-Institut's Visiting Art/ist programme, which has presented contemporary art from Finland since its first edition in 2015, aims to raise the visibility of the artists and to trigger promising international follow-up projects. Kaarina-Sirkku Kurz studied photography in Bremen, Lahti and Helsinki, completed her master's degree at Aalto University and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2013.
