An open Whacking session where everyone is invited to learn at their own pace, explore, practice, exchange, and develop their movement. Whacking (also Waacking) is an art form born from the experiences of queer People of Colour in the gay clubs of Los Angeles during the 1970s and evolved from Punking. The session is exclusively for BIPOC participants and open to all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced dancers. It is hosted by Whacking Berlin at the youth centre Die Weiße Rose, begins with a guided introduction and is free of charge.
