WIR SPIELEN ALLTAG is a musical theatre piece presenting the first stage adaptation of Lizzie Doron's novel by a theatre. In it, the Israeli writer and peace activist describes her everyday life between Berlin and its partner city Tel Aviv since 7 October 2023 – encounters with bereaved people, political discussions, and the silence on the phone with her Palestinian friend. Short episodes from daily life reveal a disturbing, chaotic reality that challenges one's moral compass and compassion and redefines ideas of home, friendship and family. Israeli director Dori Engel brought the novel to the stage at the Theater im Palais in close collaboration with Lizzie Doron.
