WISSEN UM WEISS / 1 opens a new series of exhibitions at the Camaro Haus in Berlin, presenting work by Sabine Herrmann and Bernd Kerkin. It is staged by the Alexander und Renata Camaro Stiftung, which brings aspects of Alexander Camaro's work into dialogue with contemporary positions. The title comes from a poem by Camaro that links white, knowledge and wisdom, and white appears here as a color of its own, as transparent linework and as light. The two painters' very different methods yield picture worlds of melancholic depth and at the same time uplifting lightness.
