A concert in the World series at the Philharmonie Berlin presenting klezmer, hora and love songs with the ensemble She'Koyokh and singer Çiğdem Aslan. The seven-piece, award-winning ensemble from London, which started out as street musicians, devotes itself to the folk music traditions of Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Turkey. Audiences hear klezmer melodies, love songs from Anatolia, songs from Bosnia and dance music from Serbia to Ukraine, carried by the gentle yet passionate voice of the Alevi-Kurdish singer Çiğdem Aslan. The ensemble's name comes from Yiddish and means something like 'Well done!', and the concert lasts about one hour and thirty minutes.
