A panel discussion on the human rights situation in the highlands of Guerrero, Mexico, with simultaneous interpretation into German. It is organized by the German Human Rights Coordination Mexico together with the human rights center Tlachinollan. The guests Abel Barrera and Saulo Loya of Tlachinollan report on how people there stand up for their rights amid military presence and organized crime. Topics include the risks facing human rights defenders, the impact of criminal groups' territorial control – as starkly shown by the case of the 43 disappeared Ayotzinapa students – and how people in Germany can support the struggle in solidarity.
