A volunteering day where a team of volunteers from Bankside businesses takes over the kitchen at Blackfriars Settlement. Volunteers cook and serve a two-course hot lunch for members of the Positive Ageing service, then join them for lunch, clean up and take part in afternoon activities such as bingo, a quiz or karaoke. Better Bankside organizes the day, with groups capped at two people per business and made up of a mix of local businesses. Arrival and briefing, cooking, lunch service, afternoon activities and clean-up follow a full-day outline.
