A one-hour jazz set with interval in the Smith Square Crypt, part of the Jazz in the Crypt series. It features a four-piece segment of the Kodie Kollective, a collective formed by bassist and guitarist Spencer “5pence” Sarkodie, with Spencer Sarkodie on bass, AJ Babatunde on drums, Noel Hoffman on keys and Jostin “J Colurz” Makindu on steel pan. The group bends genre norms, fuses different cultures into modern-day music and plays original pieces by its members alongside covers of jazz fusion standards and other jazz.
