Annual Viola Day 2026 is a free open day of celebration of the viola at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's Silk Street Music Hall. It is packed with masterclasses and performances by faculty members and students, plus a masterclass and workshop with guest William Coleman visiting from the Mozarteum, Salzburg. Faculty members Gary Pomeroy, Sarah-Jane Bradley, Scott Dickinson and Matthew Jones perform and give masterclasses, and participants can join group workshops and playthroughs, so bring your instruments. Visitors can also meet staff and students, explore the facilities and learn about the audition process and studying strings at Guildhall.
