Architecture on Stage is a programme of talks by leading architects, presented by The Architecture Foundation in association with the Barbican. London-based architect Takero Shimazaki discusses the ideas and design approaches behind a selection of projects by t-sa, including the recently completed Yard Theatre in Hackney Wick. He co-founded the London-based practice t-sa in 1996 after working with influential architects and practices including Itsuko Hasegawa Atelier, Richard Rogers Partnership, and Alison and Peter Smithson. These experiences shaped an approach to architecture that considers how buildings fit into their surroundings and how local communities experience them.
