Astronomers Take Over is a multi-zone, interactive, space-themed adventure for space fans aged 4 to 104. Visitors meet real astronomers from the Royal Observatory's team, learn about landing a Mars rover, use a starlight splitter, step inside a 'galaxy box', and join a cosmic scavenger hunt. While the Peter Harrison Planetarium is closed for refurbishment, an alternative planetarium experience with 30-minute shows hosted by expert astronomers is offered at the museum. During October half term, an hourly 15-minute talk, Weird Science Live, explores the stranger side of space.
