A chamber music concert by Vermont's Yellow Barn, a programme that explores spiritual transcendence and intercultural dialogue. International artists and rising talents perform music by Bach, Beethoven, Sofia Gubaidulina, Willie Johnson and Travis Laplante, together with spirituals and sounds from The Golden Record that travelled on the Voyager spacecraft in 1977. The performers include soprano Melissa Wimbish, violinists Alice Ivy-Pemberton, Anthony Marwood and Katherine Yoon, violist Pauline Sachse, cellists Gerard Flotats, Leland Ko and John Myerscough, saxophonist Travis Laplante and pianist Julian Chan. The concert lasts approximately one hour without an interval.
