Bibi Lei: Where Light Blooms is a solo exhibition of paintings at Maddox Gallery's Maddox Street space. Bibi Lei works intuitively, often with her fingers, letting a mark become a flower, flowers expand into landscapes and figures emerge from gardens. Her fairytale-like paintings ask what it means to grow without losing wonder, a question tied to her motherhood and her life between Macau, Lisbon and Tokyo. The show includes key works such as 'Queen of Bloom Mountain', conceived for the London exhibition.
